Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Dental Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Princess Anne and Salisbury facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental management and possess the skills necessary to ensure efficient and effective operational processes. This position report to the Chief Operations Officer.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Collaborate with the Corporate and Dental Leadership Team, to ensure both offices adhere to professional and joint commissions standards while upholding Chesapeake Healthcare, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Manage staff, assist supervisors in oversight of annual competencies, evaluations, and corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient administrative and clinical aspects are properly functioning for both sites.
- Manages and approves time keeping system in accordance with CHC attendance policies for Dental Department.
- Support all disciplines of the clinic for both sites to include Adult and Pediatric Providers, Hygienists, Outreach, OR/Sedations, and Residency Programs.
- Create, generate, and interpret practice management reports.
- Manage our internal billing team. Ensuring all OR and Outreach billing is done appropriately to include OB Hygiene program. Continuously monitor billing practices both internally and externally. Attend bi-weekly billing meetings with corporate dental billing teams.
- Conduct quarterly fire drills and ensure staff are aware of emergency procedures.
- Maintain up to date clinical and administrative documents.
- Act as a liaison for providers, clinical staff, director, corporate leadership, relaying any clinical, operational, or interpersonal issues or concerns.
- Respond to clinical, administrative and operational concerns timely and effectively. Be accessible and responsive.
- Responsible for the implementation of any new software integrations and any training required.
- Arrange and coordinate department meetings as needed. Create meeting agendas, distribute, log, and track all meeting minutes
- Attend monthly and quarterly meetings as necessary.
- Create yearly risk management and corporate compliance goals, with quarterly follow-up, ensuring goals are met.
- File, manage and track all incident reports in MedTrainer
- Track all staff certifications and competencies.
- Update and maintain Department Page to ensure cohesive communications tool for entire department to include both sites.
- Participate in all dental staffing interviews, including providers. Assist in the onboarding process for all staff including providers. Continuously assess staffing and recruitment needs; support supervisors to effectively identify, hire, and onboard practice talent.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality within both offices.
- Ensure part-time staff are properly accommodated, including arranging hotel reservations and logging hours in ADP.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and work collaboratively with QAQI coordinator to resolve patient complaints
- Assess, investigate, and resolve staff and patient issues by analyzing the facts and circumstances to develop timely, effective, logical yet creative solutions
- Order office supplies for both sites.
- All other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
· 5 Year experience
Associate’s degree preferred
Experience
· Demonstrated success in leading and motivating and directing high performing teams.
· Supervisory experience mandatory.
· Significant knowledge of dental business practices, including commercial, Title XIX and Medicare insurance programs procedures within the clinical care environment.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
