We are currently seeking a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our Rocky Mount – Oakwood team. Position Summary
As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with our dentists to provide exceptional oral health care to our patients. You’ll play a vital role in preventive care, patient education, and clinical support, all while upholding the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient screenings, including medical history and periodontal charting
- Perform dental cleanings, polishing, and fluoride treatments
- Take and interpret radiographs
- Apply sealants and educate patients on oral hygiene and dietary habits
- Maintain accurate electronic health records
- Assist in treatment planning and patient communication
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
- Serve as a primary treatment coordinator and liaison between patient and dentist
- Support ancillary duties as needed
Qualifications
- Must be present by 8:15 AM daily (clinic opens at 8:30 AM)
- Completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Current North Carolina Dental Hygienist license required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to confidentiality and patient care excellence
- Flexibility and a positive attitude toward changing assignments
