PDFO is hiring an ORTHO Dental Assistant!

We offer a competitive starting salary, commensurate with experience/skills, ranging from $18 - $23+/hr. Additionally, we offer formal on the job training & a comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance w/employer contributions towards annual premium, dental assistance, and a 401k profit share plan! PDFO also offers generous paid time off for holidays (6 per year), sick time (up to 40hrs) and vacation (up to 80 hours in your 1st year), and multiple opportunities to advance your dental career. On a daily basis our Ortho Assistants:

Prepare schedules, treatment chairs/rooms, instruments, materials, and patients for orthodontic treatment
Assist Orthodontist during procedures (e.g., fitting braces, adjusting wires, taking impressions, and placing bands or expanders, etc.), and educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care
Monitor and manage patient’s well-being and anxiety level, ensuring their comfort during treatment.
Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment progress, appointment schedules, and clinical notes.
Effectively communicate with doctors, staff, patients, and care-givers as necessary
Other team support responsibilities, as necessary (ex. ordering supplies)
