Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to assist in various dental procedures. A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including endodontics and four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques throughout all procedures.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage patient records accurately, utilizing dental clinic systems such as Epic for documentation.
Schedule appointments and assist with front desk duties as needed, including acting as a dental receptionist when required.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
Familiarity with dental terminology, infection control practices, and HIPAA regulations is highly desirable.
Experience in a dental clinic setting is advantageous, particularly with endodontics procedures.
Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Epic will be considered a plus.
