License/Certifications:

Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Maine
Local Anesthesia Certification (Preferred)
Current CPR/BLS certification
Radiology Certification (Preferred)
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (Preferred)

Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills
Ability to adapt to different clinical settings and work with various team members
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between multiple locations
Familiarity with dental office systems such as Dentrix, EagleSoft or Epic
Ability to take and develop dental x-rays
Knowledge of vital signs and medical records management

Key Responsibilities:

Provide preventative dental care including dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and sealants
Take and review dental radiographs
Perform oral cancer screenings and charting of dental conditions
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
Conduct patient assessments and document medical history and treatment plans
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe clinical environment
Assist the dentist during procedures and perform dental assisting duties as needed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using dental office systems such as EagleSoft or Epic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
