Responsibilities:
1. Greeting Patients: Warmly welcome patients and visitors to the practice, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive.
2. Scheduling Appointments: Efficiently manage appointment scheduling, ensuring proper allocation of time and coordination with the orthodontist's schedule.
3. Patient Check-In/Check-Out: Accurately handle patient check-in and check-out processes, including updating patient information and collecting necessary paperwork.
4. Answering Inquiries: Respond to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries promptly and professionally, providing helpful information or directing to the appropriate staff member.
5. Insurance Verification: Verify insurance coverage for patients and communicate any necessary details related to coverage and billing.
6. Payment Processing: Collect patient payments, process credit card transactions, and maintain financial records with precision.
7. Managing Records: Maintain electronic and paper records of patients, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to privacy regulations.
8. Assisting with Treatment Coordination: Collaborate with orthodontists and clinical staff to assist in treatment coordination and ensure seamless patient care.
9. Office Organization: Keep the front desk area and waiting room tidy and organized to create a welcoming environment.
10. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the orthodontic team, including filing, data entry, and office supply management.
Requirements:
1. Previous Experience: Proven experience as a receptionist, preferably in a dental or orthodontic setting, will be advantageous.
