We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using EMR systems such as Open Dental.
- Perform chairside assisting duties, including passing instruments and materials to the dentist as needed.
- Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging when required.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Support pediatric dentistry efforts by creating a welcoming atmosphere for young patients.
- Collaborate with the dental receptionist to manage appointment scheduling and patient flow.
Requirements
- Experience not necessary. Will train.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records and clinic operations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and their families.
