Dental Sterilization Technician

Key Responsibilities:

Sterilization and Disinfection:

Sterilize instruments before and after patient use and disinfect operatories between appointments.
Choose and use appropriate cleaning methods and chemicals for various instruments.
Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including ultrasonic cleaners and autoclaves.

Clinical Preparation and Maintenance:

Set up instrument trays and prepare materials for dental procedures.
Maintain handpieces and ensure proper functioning of dental equipment.
Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and maintain vacuum lines, units, chairs, lights, and operatories.
Monitor and replenish inventory to keep treatment rooms fully equipped.

Compliance and Safety:

Follow all State and Federal OSHA regulations and infection control standards.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, gowns, and eyewear.
Safely dispose of biohazardous and contaminated materials.

Patient Support:

Help create a welcoming and comfortable experience for patients.
Support the dental team in delivering outstanding care.

Additional Responsibilities:

Perform other tasks as needed to contribute to the success of the practice.

Qualifications:

One year of Dental Experience preferred
A positive attitude, attention to detail, and strong work ethic are essential.

Work Environment:

This position is on-site and not remote.
