What you will contribute to our practice:
As a hygienist for our practice, you will play a critical role in providing relevant, meaningful, engaging, and positive experiences with our brand – from the moment a patient sits in your chair.
The right team member will be enthusiastic in educating patients on good oral hygiene. The hygienist will perform routine duties of patient screenings, cleanings, and assisting the dentists with treatment planning for teeth and gums on patients of all ages. This team member will be an excellent communicator and able to create a calm, friendly, and comforting experience for the patient which ultimately will build trust.

Responsibilities/Skills Required:
- Uphold the highest standards of behavior adherent to the company values
- Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
- Breakdown and setup of operatory rooms
- Sterilize dental instruments properly
- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Adherence to proper maintenance schedules for all relevant dental equipment
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
- Adheres to OHSA regulations and company safety requirements, including compliance with HIPPA requirements, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations
- Maintains and updates annual CE requirements as specified by the state
- Maintains certification requirements for X-Ray usage
- Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g., remove plaque or apply fluoride)
- Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
- Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
- Take X-rays or dental impressions
- Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
- Monitoring cleanliness of the clinical areas
