Dental Practice Manager | Full Time | Plantation FL
The Dental Practice Manager will oversee the daily operations of the dental practice. This individual will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of dental office management. This role is essential in ensuring the efficiency, profitability, and success of the practice while maintaining a positive work culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dental office, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Set goals and monitor progress, utilizing IDSO processes or create them internally.
- Manage scheduling, staffing and employee relations to maintain an efficient and productive team.
- Interview and source qualified candidates for all areas of the business as needed.
- Train and onboard new hires in conjunction with team leads.
- Monitor call recordings to determine training opportunities and determine conversion results.
- Plan team events, trips, and community activities.
- Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and billing questions professionally and effectively.
- Check in with patients periodically for feedback and suggestions.
- Use patient feedback and observations to train the team utilizing inside or outside resources.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, insurance policies, and health and safety standards.
- Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, payroll, and accounts receivables/payables.
- Calculate hygiene and doctor payroll each month.
- Calculate team bonus each month.
- Administer employee benefits following the current process.
- Interface with IDSO with budget and accounting processes.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Monitor practice processes for adherence and opportunities for improvement throughout the office.
- Coordinate marketing efforts and patient outreach to support practice growth.
- Monitor results from marketing/website/SEO and adjust as needed.
- Utilize dental practice management software and patient communication tools for scheduling, record-keeping, reporting and communication.
- Evaluate new technology (e.g., Mango) and implement it when appropriate.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment to enhance staff performance and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team to ensure all departments are working cohesively, effectively and efficiently to support practice growth.
- Support and train team leads in accountability via regular and group check-ins.
- Provide team leads with the tools they need to increase their abilities to manage their teams.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss goals, challenges, and updates. (e.g., create an agenda and lead monthly team meetings).
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dental office management or a similar healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software specifically Open Dental.
- Knowledge of insurance processing, billing, and financial management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
- Commitment to maintaining a positive and professional administrative culture.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
