Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental professionals in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilization of instruments and equipment
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols
Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately
Manage patient records using EMR systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Maintain infection control protocols and aseptic techniques throughout the clinic

Skills

Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with Open Dental
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures
Knowledge of medical imaging processes and ability to operate 3D scanners
Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to dental practices
Ability to perform medical documentation accurately while maintaining confidentiality
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
