Since opening our doors in April 2022, we've been growing rapidly and are now looking for a full-time dental assistant to join our team.
In our practice, you will have the chance to work closely with a single doctor to provide quality dental services for patients of all ages. Our office atmosphere is warm and inviting, ensuring both our staff and patients feel comfortable and valued. You will be responsible for treatment coordination support, inventory management, and helping maintain our organized workspace.
We offer competitive wages ranging from $23 to $28 per hour, based on your skills and experience. Benefits include accrued PTO and a $300 monthly benefit bonus in lieu of medical coverage. With your minimum of 4 years of experience, we welcome your flexibility and adaptability as we continue to grow.
If you’re passionate about providing excellent dental care and customer service, we would love to hear from you as we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent chairside manners, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with EMR systems, particularly Dentrix or Dentrix Ascend, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
- Record patient medical history, vital signs, and assist with medical documentation as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment.
- Manage patient records accurately, including medical records and documentation in EMR systems.
- Collaborate with dental receptionists to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental technology such as 3D scanners.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix Ascend, Dentrix is advantageous.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical coding practices is essential.
- Basic understanding of general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry principles.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting duties while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Competence in taking vital signs and conducting medical imaging as required by the dentist.
