The successful candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in dental technology or related field / technical certification or training, or a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field if substituting education, including 10-years’ experience using CADCAM / EXOCAD in digital design, producing Crown and Bridge, Veneers, Implants, and diagnostic wax-ups. The candidate requires a demonstrated mastery of requirements and responsibilities in the Entry-level, Intermediate-level, and Middle-level.
Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Senior / Advanced Dental Technician (Crown and Bridge CADCAM and EXOCAD Designer) is to design and fabricate high-quality dental restorations using CADCAM and EXOCAD software and other dental laboratory equipment with little to no supervision. This position requires a strong understanding of dental anatomy and occlusion, as well as a mastery of a variety of dental materials and their properties. The Senior / Advanced Dental Technician will be responsible for leading training sessions and providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians to promote their professional growth and development. They will also be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in dental technology and materials, and to continuously improve processes and workflows to increase efficiency and reduce waste, while maintaining high standards of product quality. The Senior / Advanced-level Dental Technician (Crown and Bridge CADCAM and EXOCAD Designer) will report to the Crown and Bridge CADCAM and EXOCAD Design Manager and work on-site in Tempe, AZ.
Key Responsibilities (with minimal to zero supervision):
- Design and fabricate high-quality dental restorations using CADCAM and EXOCAD software and other dental laboratory equipment.

Lead training sessions and provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians to promote their professional growth and development.

Ensure that all dental restorations meet high standards of quality and accuracy and are delivered to clients in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate records of production processes and materials used, and continuously improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in dental technology and materials, and share knowledge with other team members

Collaborate with other departments within the company, such as sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure that client needs are met and exceeded.

Assist other Crown and Bridge CADCAM and EXOCAD Designers in the design and manufacturing of dental restorations, including crowns, bridges, and implants using CADCAM and EXOCAD software.

Identify priority and track cases while collaborating with the production team to ensure timely completion of orders.

Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and tools as needed or required.

Follow prescribed dental laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure accurate and high-quality restorations.

Effectively read dental RXs to design prosthesis.

Communicate with dentists and other dental laboratory personnel to ensure timely delivery of completed prosthetics/restorations to clients while meeting the necessary quality control standards.

- Maintain accurate and organized records of design files, product specifications, and inventory, and communicate any issues or concerns to the manager.

Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Perform quality control checks on finished products to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Attend conferences / seminars, training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge of dental technology and CADCAM software to stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in dental technology field.

Train and supervise junior dental technicians in the use of CADCAM and EXOCAD software.

Keep up-to-date with the latest advances in dental technology and materials, and incorporate them into your work as appropriate.

Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to ensure that the final product meets the patient's expectations and functional requirements.

Communicate with suppliers and vendors to order materials and supplies as needed.

Communicate with dentists and other dental laboratory personnel to ensure timely delivery of completed prosthetics/ restorations to clients while meeting the necessary quality control standards.

Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Help to develop and implement new workflows to increase efficiency and productivity in the laboratory.

Participate in the hiring and training of new technicians to ensure that they are properly onboarded and trained to meet the company's high standards of quality and production efficiency.

Develop and implement new processes and techniques to improve production efficiency and reduce costs, while maintaining high-quality standards

Education / Qualifications:
- 10-years' experience with CAD/CAM – EXOCAD software and other advanced dental laboratory equipment (required) for designing Crown and Bridge, Veneers, Implants, and diagnostic wax-ups., if substituting post-secondary education.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Bachelor’s degree in dental technology or related field / technical certification with 7-years’ experience in use of CADCAM / EXOCDAD for designing Crown and Bridge, Veneers, Implants, and diagnostic wax-ups.

Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
