High Peaks Dental is a patient-oriented, family-oriented practice seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team in Plattsburgh, NY. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will work together with the doctor to create comprehensive treatment plans as well as work with your hygiene coordinator to design a schedule that meets your desires and our patients needs. The hygiene coordinator will work with you to ensure you have enough time scheduled for your patients so you have some control over your schedule.
We are a state of the art dental facility with opportunity for CE and trainings around working as a team. To ensure those new to the practice feel comfortable and welcome, we will provide introduction, shadowing and training prior to jumping into a productive, busy schedule! We are open to suggestions upon hire for any changes or new equipment/techniques, because change can result in growth!

Position: Registered Dental Hygienist Location: Plattsburgh, NY
Responsibilities:
- Provide top-notch dental hygiene services to our valued patients, ensuring their oral health is in excellent condition.
- Conduct thorough dental assessments, including oral cancer screenings, to identify and address any oral health issues.
- Perform professional dental cleanings, removing plaque, tartar, and stains, and providing personalized oral hygiene instructions to promote optimal dental health.
- Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride treatments as necessary.
- Collaborate with the dental team to create customized treatment plans for patients, focusing on preventive care and oral hygiene education.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies, actively participating in continuing education programs.
- Ability to work as a team.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of New York (NYS).
- Excellent knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, including proficiency in performing professional dental cleanings, administering local anesthesia, and conducting dental assessments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and educate them about oral health practices.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and organized patient records.
- A compassionate and patient-centered approach, ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for each patient.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, supporting the overall goals of the dental practice.
