In this vital role, you will manage insurance claims, ensure accurate billing, and facilitate smooth collections processes. Your proactive approach will help optimize revenue cycles while maintaining excellent patient relationships. We are looking for a motivated professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional service at the Front desk area as well ; in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to apply your Dental experience in engaging with patients via phone or in person and working at the front line of Laingsburg Family Dental to ensure patient satisfaction and resolution to any and all concerns and questions that arise; ultimately leading to the overall success of our practice.
Duties
- Review and process dental insurance claims using industry-standard coding systems such as CDT coding to ensure accurate reimbursement.
- Verify patient Dental insurance information and eligibility prior to procedures, and updating patients records within Our Dental computer Software Dentrix Ascend.
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims promptly, utilizing effective collection strategies to recover outstanding balances.
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim discrepancies, denials, or delays, ensuring timely resolution.
- Manage patient accounts by sending statements, making payment arrangements, and explaining billing details clearly and professionally.
- Maintain comprehensive personal Dental records and documentation related to billing and collections activities, ensuring compliance with Dental healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate and communicate with clinical staff to verify procedural codes and ensure proper documentation for accurate billing processes.
- Stay updated on changes in Dental coding standards and insurance policies affecting dental billing practices.
- Utilize systems efficiently. Our computer software is Dentrix Ascend.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries regarding their bills or insurance coverage with transparency and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Dental billing and collections within the Dental field by providing references.
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance processes.
- Solid understanding of Dental terminology. Important to know frequencies within the Dental Insurance limitations, etc..
- Ability to navigate complex insurance policies, claim submission procedures, and denial management effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a detail-oriented approach to verifying data accuracy and resolving issues promptly.
- Prior experience in Dental office environments demonstrating proficiency in Dental billing software and collection strategies is advantageous.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
