Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify insurance coverage, and gather necessary medical and dental histories.
Explain treatment plans clearly, answer patient questions, and coordinate scheduling of procedures with clinical staff.
Verify insurance benefits, obtain pre-authorizations, and communicate coverage details effectively to patients.
Manage appointment scheduling using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Opendental, Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring optimal flow of daily operations.
Review and process patient documentation, including medical history updates, consent forms, and treatment notes for accuracy and completeness.
Assist with billing procedures by submitting claims through Meditech or Epic systems, ensuring proper coding with CPT, ICD-9/10 codes, and accurate medical terminology.
Follow HIPAA guidelines diligently to safeguard patient information while providing excellent customer service at the front desk.
Support the dental team by maintaining organized medical records, filing documents appropriately, and managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism.

Requirements

Billingual required : Korean
Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical coding practices.
Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms like Meditech or Epic.
Knowledge of insurance verification processes, Medicare guidelines, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and medical billing procedures.
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance in all documentation review and patient interactions.
Exceptional patient service skills with courteous phone etiquette and effective communication abilities; bilingual skills are a plus.
Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred; candidates should demonstrate organizational skills in managing medical records and appointment schedules.
