Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist/Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. This dual-role position involves providing exceptional patient care, managing front office operations, and supporting clinical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency with dental software, and a solid understanding of dental terminology and procedures. Experience in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, or prosthodontics is highly valued. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in/check-out processes using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft,
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient details, and manage patient flow efficiently
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with chairside procedures including four-handed dentistry, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging such as X-rays and 3D scans
- Prepare treatment rooms ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are upheld
- Support clinical staff with tasks like dental assisting, including knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Educate patients on treatment plans and post-procedure care
- Handle insurance claims and coding related to medical and dental procedures including medical coding where applicable
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and sterilization processes
Skills
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for patient confidentiality
- Experience with dental procedures including chairside assisting, X-ray taking, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures
- Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques
- Ability to perform vital signs assessment and operate medical imaging equipment including 3D scanners
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages including pediatrics
- Prior experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific software or procedures as needed.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
