This is not a typical dental front desk position.

The Hindin Center is a general dental practice at the intersection of dentistry and whole-body health — focusing on airway, sleep and breathing, chronic pain, and the deep connection between oral health and overall well-being. We work collaboratively with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers, and we have patients who travel from other states and across the country to receive care here.

We are looking for someone who understands that the front desk is where trust begins.

The Role

You are the first voice a patient hears — often at a moment when they've been struggling for years and are finally reaching out for help. Your ability to listen, communicate clearly, and make people feel genuinely seen is as important as any clinical skill in this office.

You will schedule appointments, manage patient communications, coordinate care, and work closely with our clinical team. You will also play a role in converting inquiries into appointments — not through pressure, but through warmth, knowledge, and genuine connection.

What We're Looking For

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A natural ability to listen and make patients feel heard
Team-oriented — you lift the people around you
Strong computer skills; experience with Open Dental is a plus
Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
Genuine curiosity and a desire to learn

No prior knowledge of airway or sleep dentistry is required. The right candidate will be trained in-office, through online resources, and at continuing education courses — we invest in your growth and expect you to be part of it.

Location Note We are based in Suffern, NY and are looking for candidates who can reliably commute within approximately one hour.

Compensation & Benefits

$27–$38/hour depending on experience and demonstrated skills
Salary grows as your competency in the practice's specialty areas develops
Employer contributions to health insurance
Employer contributions to pension plan
Monday–Friday schedule; no weekends
Flexibility on longer office days (Wednesday and Friday)
