About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and versatile team member to join our busy general dentistry practice. This dual role blends chairside dental assisting with front desk reception duties, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both patient care and administrative work.

Clinical Responsibilities

Assist the dentist chairside during exams, restorations, extractions, and other general dentistry procedures
Prepare and sterilize instruments; maintain operatory cleanliness and readiness between patients
Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays)
Record clinical notes and treatment information in the patient chart
Support hygienists as needed with patient flow and room turnover

Front Desk Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional manner
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage the provider and hygiene calendars
Verify and process dental insurance benefits and assist patients with billing questions
Collect and post patient payments; prepare end-of-day reports
Maintain accurate patient records and manage incoming correspondence

Qualifications

Dental assisting experience required; certification (CDA) preferred
Familiarity with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)
Knowledge of dental insurance and billing a plus
Excellent communication and multitasking skills
X-ray certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Team-oriented with a positive, patient-first attitude
