Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This position requires a thorough understanding of dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and patient care protocols within a dental clinic setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Utilize medical imaging technologies to capture and interpret diagnostic images.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide optimal patient care.
- Ensure the sterilization of instruments and adherence to aseptic techniques throughout procedures.
- Stay updated on advancements in pediatric dentistry and dental practices.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proficient knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
- Experience in a dental clinic environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with Dentrix software for managing patient records is a plus.
- Background in pediatric dentistry is advantageous for working with younger patients.
- Understanding of medical imaging techniques related to dentistry.
- Strong commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Previous experience as a dental assistant can be beneficial but is not required.
