Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to serve as the welcoming face of our practice. This role is essential in creating a smooth and positive patient experience from the first phone call through every visit. You will manage scheduling, insurance coordination, and front office operations while ensuring every patient feels valued and supported.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients in a professional, friendly manner
- Manage patient scheduling, confirmations, and appointment flow
- Handle insurance verification and eligibility checks
- Explain treatment plans, estimates, and financial arrangements to patients
- Coordinate patient check-in and check-out processes
- Maintain accurate patient records and front office documentation
- Support billing and collections processes as needed
- Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative teams
- Ensure a smooth, efficient, and positive patient experience
Requirements
- Experience in a dental or medical front office preferred
- Familiarity with dental insurance, billing, and treatment estimates
- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficiency with dental practice management software a plus
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a dental practice management or front desk role
- Experience with insurance breakdowns and pre-authorizations
- Comfort working in a new practice environment and helping build systems
