Responsibilities

The Clinic Manager’s role is to keep the clinic functioning at full capacity:

Manage the dental assistants and dental hygienists
Serve as a connection point between staff and the Owner Dentist, ensure policies are clearly communicated and followed and that feedback is shared in both directions
Use agencies to find temporary staff when necessary, help them get familiar with our office, and ensure they uphold our standards of care
Purchase and organize supplies
Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs
Review the schedule to ensure we’re prepared
Assist chairside when the schedule is tight

Together with the Office Manager, you will report to the Owner Dentist and collaborate to improve our processes, enhance our facility, and handle exceptions, such as patient complaints, unplanned absences, equipment failures, and anything else the day throws at us.

Requirements

We are seeking a candidate with experience as a Lead Assistant at a busy office. We will also consider dental hygienists who are seeking a career change.

Must be:

Comfortable managing staff, providing growth-oriented feedback, and implementing policies
Familiar with local, state, and federal regulations and best practices for dental equipment maintenance and clinic operations
Organized, comfortable with email and task management software, adapts quickly to new tools
Familiar with dental equipment, able to read maintenance manuals and converse with technical support to troubleshoot equipment failures
Excellent communicator, friendly and empathetic
Resilient, calm and efficient in stressful situations
Adaptable and eager to step in where needed
Proactive and prepared
Capable chairside assistant

Compensation

Hourly rate: $36/hour or more with role-specific experience.
