Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our team for two to three days per week. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a passion for patient care, and the ability to work efficiently within a dynamic dental practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to community health while working in a supportive and professional environment.

Duties

Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth in accordance with established protocols.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to individual needs.
Assist with dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Support the dental team by preparing treatment areas, sterilizing instruments, and managing dental supplies.

Qualifications

Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
Prior experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings is preferred.
Proficiency with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical terminology.
Experience with chairside assisting and medical imaging techniques is advantageous.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations, including pediatrics.
Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and medical records management standards.
