We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. We are a small general dentistry practice with over 20 years of business, and we are committed to providing top-quality dental care in a friendly and comfortable environment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients in the operatories
- Prepare rooms for the doctors, and prepare patients for treatments
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Turn over rooms in a timely manner
- Keeping the Doctor on schedule
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental operatory clean and well-stocked
Skills
MUST HAVE: VALID NJ RADIOLOGY LICENSE
MAJOR PLUS: REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT/EXPANDED FUNCTION
- Proven experience as dental assistant
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
- Good computer skills & ability to work with patients of all ages
- Excellent communication & people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable with a great attitude. Must be punctual. Must have reliable transportation.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
