Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with experience in various clinical procedures and patient care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support general dentistry, utilizing advanced dental technology and fostering a welcoming environment for patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, while adhering to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
- Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix ensuring accurate medical documentation and coding.
- Monitor vital signs and assist with dental imaging as needed for patient assessments.
- Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures across specialties such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Support infection control practices and ensure the clinic adheres to all safety standards to promote a clean, safe environment for staff and patients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dental assisting within a busy dental clinic environment.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix; familiarity with medical coding and documentation is preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures.
- Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and dental imaging devices.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across general dentistry disciplines including pediatric dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
