Our office is unique in that has a doctor with two specialties in dentistry: Orthodontics and Periodontics. Duties
- Manage all aspects of dental office operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to optimize productivity and patient satisfaction
- Oversee fiscal management activities such as budgeting, billing, coding, and financial reporting to ensure profitability and compliance with healthcare regulations
- Supervise administrative staff, including dental administrative support personnel, ensuring adherence to HIPAA standards and confidentiality protocols
- Coordinate patient treatment plans with our dental specialist, explaining procedures and financing options clearly to enhance patient understanding and acceptance
- Be proficient in practice management software in dentistry, and systems like Dentrix or Cloud 9 to maintain accurate medical records, treatment histories, and billing information.
- Be skilled in use of Patient Communication Platforms such as Weave.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations in conjunction with OSHA, HIPAA privacy rules, and managed care policies
- Assist with human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a positive team environment
Skills
- Proven experience in dental office management within a general dentistry or dental specialty office settings with strong supervisory skills
- Extensive knowledge of dental clinic operations, including dental office experience and practice management principles
- Proficiency in practice management software such as Dentrix, OpenDental, or Cloud9 for efficient recordkeeping and billing processes
- Strong financial management skills encompassing budgeting, revenue cycle management, and financial analysis
- Profound knowledge in dental insurance codes in Orthodontics and Periodontics, claim processing including pre-determination to claim submission, claim appeals, insurance network, credentialing, etc.
- Familiarity with medical and dental terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and OSHA-related regulations in healthcare/dentalcare, etc.
- Excellent communication skills with patients on the phone, and in the front office from greeting patients to presenting treatment plans effectively to patients, and rapport with clinical and other non-clinical staff
- Ability to lead a team with supervisory experience in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Good overall knowledge about dental marketing method, and excellent ability to maintain professional and close relationship with other dental offices and reps.
