Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental equipment according to safety protocols.
- Take X-rays as needed, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis.
- Maintain accurate medical records for patients, including treatment histories and progress notes.
- Manage patient appointments and assist with scheduling as needed.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care.
- Operate dental software systems, such as Dentrix and Dexis
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience preferred, with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of medical records management and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding of radiographic techniques.
- Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix and Dexis is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- A commitment to providing excellent patient care in a friendly environment.
- Certification in dental assisting is preferred
- Bilingual skills a plus but not required
