Responsibilities:
- Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Conduct routine dental examinations and cleanings
- Diagnose and treat oral diseases and conditions
- Develop treatment plans for patients based on their oral health needs
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
- Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to provide comprehensive dental care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software
- Ensure compliance with medical coding and billing regulations
- Follow aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures
- Utilize medical imaging technology for diagnostic purposes
Requirements:
- Valid license to practice dentistry in the state
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software for medical documentation and record keeping
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing procedures
- Ability to perform patient assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required
