Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience from check-in to check-out
- Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such Dentrix, coordinating with clinical staff
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes including Medicare and other third-party payers
- Manage patient records with precision, ensuring all documentation review, medical records updates, and data entry are completed in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, answering inquiries promptly and directing calls appropriately
- Process payments, perform medical collection activities, and manage billing using systems like Meditech or Epic EMR systems
- Maintain organized filing systems for dental records, medical records, and administrative documents while ensuring confidentiality and security
- Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information, updating medical history, and explaining clinic policies and care plans
- Support office management tasks such as inventory control, appointment reminders, and general clerical duties including filing, typing, and data entry using Microsoft Office tools
Skills
- Proven experience in a dental or medical office environment with strong front desk responsibilities
- Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, and medical billing procedures
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), multi-line phone systems, and typing (10 key typing)
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance standards to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively but no required
- Exceptional customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette and active listening abilities
- Ability to handle insurance verification processes efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review
- Experience with dental office management software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in all tasks

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
