Busy Oral Surgery practice with offices in Walpole and Dedham seeks a part-time onsite Dental Billing Coordinator to our growing team. Must be detailed oriented team player. Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Outlook, and Internet required. The ideal candidate has 1+ years of dental billing experience, a strong understanding of dental insurance claims and CDT codes, and experience using WinOMS or other dental billing software. Not a remote position.

Responsibilities:

Review and verify patient demographic and insurance information.
Post insurance and patient payments, reconcile accounts, and process adjustments as needed.
Review EOBs for accuracy and process secondary claims when applicable
Collaborate with dentists and administrative staff to resolve claim issues, treatment plan discrepancies, and coverage questions.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and payer-specific regulations.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients regarding balances, payment options, and coverage details.
A collaborative, team-first attitude with excellent written and verbal communication.
Generate and monitor key financial reports related to accounts receivable and collections.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 years of dental billing and insurance verification experience (oral surgery specialty experience a plus).
medical billing experience helpful.
Strong understanding of dental codes, (CDT), medical codes (CPT/HCPCS), terminology and insurance verification processes.
Knowledge of dental and medical policies a plus.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and accountability.
Experience with WinOMS preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in posting, reconciliation, and claim follow-up.
