We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. Responsibilities
- Greeting patients with a warm and inviting presence.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently across multiple providers using EDR (Electronic Dental Record)
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorization, and coordinate with insurance companies for claims processing related to other payers.
- Review medical documentation, including care plans, medical records, and billing information, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and accurate coding.
- Communicate effectively with patients via phone and in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills at the front desk or reception area.
- Manage appointment rescheduling, cancellations, and follow-ups while maintaining detailed records in various EHR systems such as Dentrix.
- Assist with insurance verification processes, billing inquiries, and collection efforts related to dental billing and collections.
- Support office operations by managing multi-line phone systems, transfer dental records securely, and performing clerical tasks such as data entry with high typing accuracy.
Skills
- Previous dental office experience is highly desirable; familiarity with dental terminology and Dentrix software is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with excellent computer skills for scheduling software and health information management tools.
- Familiarity with insurance verification procedures for insurers; understanding of HIPAA compliance is essential.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations.
- Strong communication skills including phone etiquette, patient service orientation, and professional demeanor at the front desk or administrative support roles.
