Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Dental Front Office Manager to lead and oversee all administrative and financial operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in dental insurance verification, dental billing, and revenue cycle management, Dentical a must knowledge along with strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. This role is critical in ensuring smooth front office operations, accurate billing, optimized collections, and excellent patient experience.

Key Responsibilities Front Office & Team Management

Supervise, train, and support front office staff, including scheduling, patient intake, and check-in/check-out processes
Establish and enforce front office policies, workflows, and best practices
Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action as needed
Coordinate front office operations with clinical and management teams

Dental Insurance & Billing (Required Expertise)

Manage dental insurance verification, eligibility checks, and benefits breakdowns
Oversee accurate dental billing, claim submission, and follow-up for PPO, Medicaid/Medi-Cal, and fee-for-service plans
Ensure proper coding (CDT codes), documentation, and compliance with payer requirements
Resolve claim denials, underpayments, and appeals in a timely manner
Monitor aging reports, accounts receivable, and collections to meet financial goals

Financial & Revenue Cycle Management

Review daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
Ensure accurate posting of payments, adjustments, and write-offs
Maintain strong internal controls and HIPAA compliance
Collaborate with the dentist/owner on budgeting, production goals, and collections strategies

Patient Relations & Customer Service

Serve as the primary point of contact for complex patient billing and insurance questions
Ensure clear communication regarding treatment plans, insurance estimates, and payment options
Address patient concerns professionally and promptly to maintain high satisfaction

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in dental front office management, with extensive dental insurance and billing experience
Strong knowledge of dental insurance plans (PPO, Medicaid/Medi-Cal, fee-for-service)
Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or similar)
Excellent understanding of CDT coding, claims processing, and AR management
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced dental environment

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Front Office Manager or Office Manager in a dental practice
Familiarity with compliance, audits, and payer regulations
Bilingual (Spanish preferred, but not required)
