Experienced Dental Treatment Coordinator

Comprehensive & Cosmetic Dentistry | San Jose, CA

Bittner Family Dental Group
Pay: $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Thursday + select Saturdays
Location: San Jose, CA 95129

We Are Looking for an Experienced Treatment Coordinator!

Bittner Family Dental Group is seeking a confident, personable, and experienced Dental Treatment Coordinator who is currently working in, or has recent hands-on experience in, a dental office independently presenting treatment plans to patients.

This position requires actual dental treatment presentation experience—not simply dental front-office, scheduling, insurance verification, or general medical office experience.

Our ideal candidate is already comfortable meeting one-on-one with patients, presenting comprehensive treatment recommendations, explaining fees and insurance benefits, discussing financial arrangements, overcoming objections, and helping patients confidently move forward with treatment.

We are an established, family-oriented dental practice in San Jose specializing in comprehensive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. We pride ourselves on exceptional patient care, lasting relationships, and a welcoming, professional environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Independently present dental treatment plans to patients, including comprehensive restorative and cosmetic cases.
Confidently discuss treatment plans ranging from routine procedures to $10,000–$20,000+ cases.
Clearly explain treatment fees, PPO insurance estimates, patient financial responsibilities, and financing options.
Address patients' questions and financial concerns with empathy, confidence, and professionalism.
Help patients understand the importance and value of recommended treatment without high-pressure sales tactics.
Encourage treatment acceptance and assist patients with scheduling recommended care.
Proactively follow up with patients who have not scheduled treatment.
Coordinate closely with our doctors, Senior Treatment Coordinator, and administrative team to provide a seamless patient experience.
Maintain accurate treatment plans, patient communications, and financial arrangements in our practice management software.
Help support treatment acceptance goals while maintaining our patient-first philosophy.

Required Qualifications

Please apply only if you meet the following experience requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience working in a dental office.
Minimum 2 years of recent, hands-on experience independently presenting dental treatment plans directly to patients.
Must have personally discussed treatment fees, insurance estimates, and payment arrangements with patients as part of the treatment presentation process.
Experience presenting comprehensive restorative treatment plans, including crowns, bridges, implants, or other significant dental procedures.
Strong working knowledge of PPO dental insurance, benefits verification, annual maximums, deductibles, and patient estimates.
Demonstrated ability to address financial concerns, follow up on unscheduled treatment, and help patients accept recommended care.
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Professional, dependable, and comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.

Important: Experience assisting with treatment plans, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, or working at a dental front desk does not, by itself, meet our treatment presentation requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience presenting larger comprehensive treatment plans of $10,000 or more.
Background in cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation, or complex restorative cases.
Dentrix proficiency.
Experience tracking unscheduled treatment and treatment acceptance.
Familiarity with CareCredit and other patient financing options.

Who Will Thrive in Our Practice?

We would love to meet someone who:

Enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients and their families.
Is confident presenting treatment while remaining compassionate and approachable.
Understands that successful treatment coordination is about helping patients make informed decisions—not simply discussing costs.
Is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple treatment cases.
Takes pride in helping patients achieve healthier, more beautiful smiles.
Values teamwork, professionalism, and a positive office culture.
