Pay: $35–$55 an hour depending on experience. The top of the range is for a proven full-arch designer who can run design, milling, and finishing on their own. This is a hands-on, on-site position in our in-house lab in Pickerington — bench, design, and mill work, in person. This is not a general crown-and-bridge bench job. Our lab designs and produces full-arch implant prosthetics (All-on-X) start to finish, in-house — 10+ arches a month and growing. Two ways in: Proven solo producer ($45–$55/hr): you can take an All-on-X case from Exocad design through milling and final zirconia finishing independently. Strong full-arch tech ready to grow ($35–$45/hr): you have personally designed or finished complete full-arch cases and run dental mills, or you're a strong designer on another dental CAD platform (3Shape) who can ramp up fast in Exocad. What you will do: - Design full-arch cases in Exocad (hybrids, bars, full-arch zirconia) - Mill full-arch zirconia finals on our industrial in-house milling equipment - Print and finish temporary hybrids - Finish, stain/glaze, and quality-check full-arch zirconia before delivery - Work directly with the surgeon on case planning and deadlines Must have: - Real full-arch / All-on-X case experience — you have personally designed or finished complete full-arch cases, not just single units - Milling experience on professional dental milling equipment Trainable for the right person: - Exocad specifically — if your CAD experience is in another dental design platform and you can come up to speed fast, we will consider you - Our specific mill and printer, if your milling background is solid How we hire: 1. About the practice: State of the Art Smiles / Columbus Implant Clinic is the practice of Dr. Phillip Katz in Pickerington, just outside Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Katz has placed 10,000+ implants, has done full-mouth restoration since 2000 and full-arch implant work since 2008. The lab is in-house and was built out in the last year, so the person in this role designs, mills, and finishes cases under one roof instead of shipping work out.
