Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and professional Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, insurance verification, and maintaining accurate medical records. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency with dental and medical office management systems, and a strong understanding of healthcare documentation and HIPAA compliance. Prior dental office experience and familiarity with Eaglesoft software and simple dental terminology are highly preferred. Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional front desk customer service
Schedule appointments using dental practice management software (Eaglesoft)
Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including insurance verification and claims processing
Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
Collect payments, co-pays, and outstanding balances; handle medical billing and collections
Review and update patient medical records while ensuring HIPAA compliance
Maintain accurate documentation review for treatment plans, insurance claims, and billing codes
Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; assist with patient inquiries
Manage appointment reminders via phone or electronic communication platforms
Assist with administrative support tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies
Support clinic operations by coordinating with clinical staff regarding patient flow and documentation

Skills

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and care plans
Experience with dental office management software (we utilize Eaglesoft). Familiarity with insurance claims, and coverages.
Proficiency in basic technological and typing skills including 10-key typing for data entry
Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and proper handling of health information
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills
Previous experience in medical or dental administrative support or front desk roles within a clinical setting is highly desirable
Familiarity with insurance verification processes, medical billing procedures, and documentation review processes

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
