Job Description

We are expanding our team of dental professionals and are looking for a dental assistant who knows the value of providing a great experience for our patients and who is enthusiastic about delivering quality care. The hours for the position are Monday 7:30am -4:30pm, Tuesday 7:30am-6pm, Wednesday 7:30am-4:30pm and Thursday from 7:30am-3:30pm. The job entails working with patients of all ages and providing top quality and efficient care. In this job you will:

Maintain office policies and procedures Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
Taking dental radiographs (x-rays)
Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse
Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling)
Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
Taking impressions of patients' teeth for models of teeth
Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
Assisting the dentist with various procedures.

Basic Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited program and pass a state exam Use of Dental Technology
Patient Services

Kind Chairside Manner
1 year experience preferred

Licenses

Certified Dental Assistant (Required)
X-ray (Required)
