Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures and excellent communication skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments, including the removal of plaque and tartar.
Review patient documentation and medical history to provide tailored care.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for patient records management.
Assist in maintaining infection control protocols in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.
Perform four-handed dentistry by assisting dentists during procedures as needed.

Skills

Proficiency in documentation review and familiarity with medical terminology.
Experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
Strong patient care skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
Knowledge of infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols.
Experience with dental assisting is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate patients.
