Job Description

The Treatment Coordinator plays a key role in the practice. It is one of, if not the most, challenging and rewarding positions in the clinic.

As the Treatment Coordinator, you are the bridge between the surgeon’s diagnosis and a patient saying “yes” and committing to treatment. You lead patient education, financial conversations, insurance coordination, follow-up, and conversion from start to finish.

If you thrive on ownership, momentum, and being the person who keeps the entire process moving, you’ll excel in this role. This is a fast-paced, high-accountability position and is not suited for those seeking a slower or lower-pressure environment.

What you will do

· Present treatment plans clearly and confidently (implants, extractions, sedation cases, pathology, grafting, etc.)

· Drive case acceptance through patient education, empathy, and firm follow-through

· Verify benefits, explain estimates, coordinate pre-authorizations and medical clearances

· Collect deposits and payments, and set up financing options when applicable

· Schedule surgeries efficiently across provider schedules, sedation needs, and time blocks

· Coordinate referrals, records, imaging, and documentation so cases are ready to go

· Track unscheduled treatment, pending authorizations, and next steps with disciplined follow-up

· Document all patient communications and financial notes accurately in the PMS

Compensation Breakdown

$30-$40 per hour based on years of experience and competencies

Upper Range ($36-$40/hr)

· 2+ years of experience as a Treatment Coordinator in an Oral Surgery Clinic

· Strong understanding of dental treatment coordination

· Experience managing high conversion volume and follow-up pipelines

· Comfortable explaining deductibles, coinsurance, annual max, and pre-auth basics

· Previous leadership role(s) in an administrative role

· Experience with financing options (CareCredit, Cherry, Alphaeon)

· Strong phone presence and strong writing skills

· Confident with money conversations and collecting payments

· Strong computer skills and comfort multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Mid-Range ($33-$36/hr)

· 1-2 years of experience as a Treatment Coordinator or similar role in Oral Surgery or Specialty Dental Clinic

· Comfortable explaining deductibles, coinsurance, annual max, and pre-auth basics

· Strong phone presence and writing skills

· Confident with money conversations and collecting payments

· Strong computer skills and comfort multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Entry Range ($30-$32/hr)

· Previous medical/dental front desk experience

· Strong phone presence and writing skills

Schedule and benefits

· Full-time Monday to Friday
