Duties

1hour cleaning appointments, 30 min for returning children.
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital dental imaging equipment.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
Follow infection prevention protocols by practicing aseptic techniques, sterilizing equipment, and managing healthcare infection control standards.

Qualifications

Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures.
Proficiency in dental software systems such Dentrix for documentation review and EHR management.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding principles.
Expertise in infection prevention management, including infection control practices and healthcare safety standards (HIPAA compliance).
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about dental care and foster positive client relationships

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
