Are you detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in dental billing and collections? Our team, a leading pediatric dental practice, is seeking a dependable Accounts Receivable Coordinator to manage insurance and patient collections with accuracy and efficiency.

This role begins in person for the first 3–4 weeks of training at our Johns Creek office. Once training is complete and proficiency is demonstrated, the position transitions to fully remote.

About the Role:

As our Accounts Receivable Coordinator, you will ensure timely and accurate payment processing from both insurance companies and patients. Your responsibilities will include managing aging reports, following up on outstanding balances, and executing our collections process with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities:

Regular Duties:

Monitor and respond to billing-related voicemails promptly.
Audit prior day schedules for uncollected balances; follow up with treatment coordinators as needed.
Track financial agreements and escalate missing documentation.
Generate and follow up on insurance aging reports for claims older than 30 days.
Document all insurance communications including status updates, reference numbers, and payment details.
Send monthly patient billing statements.
Initiate patient communications (texts, calls, or emails) for overdue balances after statement cycles.

Collections Management:

Follow a structured SOP for multi-step outreach including statements, calls, and emails.
Evaluate accounts for collection eligibility and prepare for submission to our collections partner.
Adjust and flag accounts appropriately based on payment status, history, and future scheduling.

As Needed:

Answer billing inquiries from patients and staff.
Post insurance checks and support insurance verifications when needed.
Update patient ledgers, treatment plans, and financial flags as directed.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in dental billing, insurance coordination, and accounts receivable.
Strong understanding of dental insurance policies and claims processing.
Organized and self-motivated with strong follow-through and accountability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable with technology, remote work tools, and dental software (Dentrix Preferred). Remote technology equipment will be provided (computer, keyboard, mouse, etc)

Work Environment & Schedule:

Initial training: On-site in Johns Creek, GA 30022 for 3–4 weeks.
Ongoing: Remote, full-time position after training period.
Core hours aligned with practice business hours (Eastern Time).
