Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality oral care to patients, promoting good dental hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional patient experiences. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in educating patients about oral health and ensuring that the clinic operates smoothly.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Assess patients' oral health and document findings accurately in their medical records.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Assist in the administration of local anesthesia as needed.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using appropriate medical imaging systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with dentists to create treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission to insurance providers or for patient records.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and dental terminology relevant to patient care.
- Experience working in a dental clinic environment, with familiarity in medical coding.
- Knowledge of anatomy as it relates to oral health and hygiene practices.
- Ability to operate medical imaging systems, including digital X-ray equipment.
- Strong skills in documentation review to ensure accuracy in patient records.
- Experience with pediatrics is a plus, enhancingo the ability to work with younger patients effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient education and collaboration with the dental team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $46.00 - $49.00 per hour
