We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dental Admin/Clinical Coordinator to join our vibrant team in Gaithersburg, MD. We are a busy, patient-centered pediatric practice accepting PPO and Healthy Smiles (Medicaid), dedicated to providing exceptional dental care in a fun and welcoming environment for children and their families.

We're looking for a unique individual who possesses a strong blend of front and back office expertise, capable of ensuring seamless operations and outstanding patient experiences. The ideal candidate will be responsible, exhibit a positive attitude, and be able to work independently and reliably.

Responsibilities

Oversee and optimize both front office administrative tasks and back office clinical flow, ensuring efficient and organized operations.
Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and recall systems.
Handle insurance verification, claims submission (including PPO and MD Healthy Smiles), and billing inquiries.
Coordinate patient communication, including answering phones, emails, and managing patient inquiries.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all privacy regulations.
Assist with clinical preparation and operatory turnover as needed.
Manage dental supplies and equipment inventory.
Troubleshoot and resolve administrative and clinical issues as they arise.
Support the team in maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience in a dental office setting, with demonstrable experience in both administrative and clinical roles.
Proficiency with dental software, specifically Open Dental, VYNE, and Weave.
Strong understanding of dental insurance processes, including PPO and Medicaid.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, parents, and team members.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
Reliable and independent with a strong work ethic.
