Business Manager – Dental Practice Operations

Greater Detroit Metro | Full-Time | $75,000–$85,000 + Bonus

Are you a decisive, results-driven leader with strong business acumen? We’re seeking a Business Manager to oversee one of our largest and busiest dental practices in the Greater Detroit area. In this high-impact leadership role, you’ll manage an Office Manager, lead a large team, and directly drive the financial and operational performance of the practice.

This position requires a confident, strong-willed leader who can balance people leadership with ownership of KPIs, budgets, and business outcomes. Dental experience is not required—but proven healthcare or operations leadership is essential.

Overview:

Run the Practice: Oversee daily operations of a high-volume, multi-doctor dental office, ensuring efficient patient flow and operational excellence.
Own the Numbers: Monitor KPIs including production, collections, and expenses. Develop and implement strategies to keep the practice on track financially.
Lead with Confidence: Supervise and mentor the Office Manager and staff, set clear expectations, and hold the team accountable for results.
Manage Financials: Oversee budgets, reconcile reports, and support provider compensation and bonus structures with accuracy and discipline.
Optimize Staffing: Manage team scheduling, payroll coordination, and workforce planning to ensure seamless coverage.
Elevate Patient Care: Ensure workflows, communication, and team performance provide an excellent patient experience.
Collaborate with Leadership: Act as the key liaison between the practice, providers, and regional leaders to align goals and strategy.

Requirements:

3+ years of leadership experience in a healthcare, dental, or multi-provider setting
Strong financial and operational management skills with proven ability to drive KPIs
A strong-willed, confident leadership style with the ability to hold teams accountable
Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution abilities
Comfort working in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems
