We are not part of any insurance network, we are a payment at time of service practice.
We are seeking a dedicated and organized person to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations at our dental practice by managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate dental / medical records. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of dental terminology and administrative processes. All Staff members are cross trained, so as a team we can support each other in a quest to provide the best experience for our patients and have an enjoyable day with our work family
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Schedule and confirm appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems such Dentrix and Solution Reach
- Manage patient inquiries via phone and in-person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- We are not in network with any insurance company.
- Verify insurance information and handle payments. We are an insurance free dental practice. We help patients maximize their insurance benefits, but we do not accept insurance payments.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring confidentiality.
- Conduct documentation reviews to ensure accuracy in medical records.
- Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and maintaining office organization.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and care plans.
Skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, dental terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9 and ICD-10), and CPT coding.
- Experience in medical office management or administrative support within a clinic setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and strong typing skills.
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist is an asset.
