Overview

We’re looking for a warm, organized, and reliable Front Desk Receptionist to be the face of our dental office and help ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for every patient. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional demeanor
Verify patient identity and insurance eligibility; collect and update necessary forms
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using the dental PMS
Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries using approved scripts
Send and receive HIPAA-compliant communications via phone, email, and 2-way text
Collect and process patient payments; explain balances and payment expectations
Review ledgers and flag patient balances prior to appointments
Upload documents and scanned forms into the electronic document center
Balance daily deposits and review day sheets at the end of each shift
Batch and submit insurance claims according to protocol
Support referral processing, lab tracking, and unscheduled treatment follow-ups
Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations

Required Skills and Certifications

Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (dental front desk a plus)
Understanding of common front office SOPs such as check-in, check-out, and payment collection
Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional presence
Basic understanding of dental insurance and financial conversations
Comfort using phone systems, email, and scheduling/calendar tools
Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend or similar electronic scheduling systems
Attention to detail when documenting and updating patient information
Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
