Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy dental clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of medical office management, and proficiency with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining high-quality patient care standards. The Practice Manager will play a vital role in optimizing clinic efficiency, financial management, and fostering a positive environment for both staff and patients.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high patient satisfaction
- Manage fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial management, and billing processes
- Supervise administrative staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, JCAHO standards, and other healthcare policies
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, and Epic for accurate medical records management
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support nursing and medical administrative functions
- Oversee human resources tasks including scheduling, staff development, and conflict resolution
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement process improvements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of managed care, utilization management, and healthcare regulations
- Facilitate communication between providers, insurance companies, and patients to streamline operations
- Ensure adherence to medical terminology standards and proper handling of medical records
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office or dental office management with a strong understanding of healthcare operations
- Proficiency in dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix; experience with eClinicalWorks or Epic is a plus
- Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting and financial oversight
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, medical records management, and healthcare regulations such as JCAHO standards
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical administrative support tasks
- Familiarity with medical terminology, EMR/EHR systems, and hospital or clinic experience is preferred
- Ability to handle human resources functions including staffing, training, and conflict resolution
- Strong communication skills to coordinate between clinical staff, patients, insurance providers, and vendors
