Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for patient care, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced dental setting. This role involves providing comprehensive periodontal services, supporting patient education, and assisting in maintaining the highest standards of infection control and safety.

Duties

Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and other periodontal therapies to promote optimal oral health.
Conduct patient assessments including vital signs, medical history review, and oral health evaluations.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans.
Assist the dentist during various procedures with chairside assistance, ensuring smooth workflow.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient and staff safety.
Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to radiation safety standards.
Review medical records for completeness and accuracy; assist with medical coding for billing purposes when necessary.

Skills

Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and billing.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control procedures.
Experience with pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients is preferred.
Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Ability to measure vital signs accurately and recognize abnormal findings requiring further evaluation.
Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and medical coding practices.
Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information.

Pay: $36.94 - $44.49 per hour
