Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. We are looking for 1/2 to 1 full day of hygiene , preferably a Wednesday. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support the overall health and well-being of our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, infection control, and patient education, with a focus on pediatric and general dentistry. Experience with EMR systems and dental office software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is preferred. The Registered Dental Hygienist will work collaboratively within a team to ensure efficient clinic operations while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review.
- Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper infection control protocols.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in EMR systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix.
- Review medical records and documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support infection control procedures using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination.
- Collaborate with dentists on treatment planning and patient care strategies.
- Ensure all dental equipment is properly sterilized and maintained according to infection control standards.
- Stay current with dental terminology, medical coding, and best practices in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
- Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably in pediatric and family general dentistry.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix; familiarity with medical imaging equipment is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical coding standards.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse age groups, including pediatrics.
- Ability to perform detailed patient assessments, vital signs measurement, and documentation review accurately.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
