**Job Summary:** Location Suite 203***As a lead you will oversee daily clinical operations, manage the assistant team, and maintain workflow efficiency alongside direct patient care. You will train new staff, ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA safety standards, and act as a liaison between dentists and assistants. We want a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at West Essex Oral Surgery. The ideal candidate should possess a strong knowledge of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. This position offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth. **Responsibilities:** - Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures - Prepare patients for dental work and ensure their comfort - Sterilize instruments according to regulations - Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures - Take and develop dental x-rays (including 3D scans) - Maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical documentation using [Epic] software - Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies - Perform office tasks as needed to maintain an efficient workflow **Requirements:** - Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assistant program - Proficiency in using a 3D scanner for dental imaging - Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols - Familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy - Experience in assisting with oral surgery procedures is a plus - Strong understanding of medical imaging techniques - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join our team and contribute to providing top-quality dental care to our patients while advancing your career in the field of dentistry.
