Duties
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients regarding treatment plans, financial arrangements, and insurance claims
- Coordinate scheduling of appointments and follow-up visits to optimize patient flow and satisfaction
- Verify patient insurance coverage, explain benefits, and assist with pre-authorizations to facilitate treatment approval
- Prepare, submit, and track insurance claims accurately and promptly using specialized billing software
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues or discrepancies effectively
- Educate patients on their treatment options, payment plans, and insurance processes to promote transparency and trust
- Maintain detailed records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and claim statuses to ensure compliance and smooth workflow
Skills
- Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting with strong knowledge of medical terminology and administrative procedures
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain treatment options and insurance details to patients
- Proficiency in medical office software, billing systems, and insurance claim processing tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dental office operations combined with experience in handling insurance claims is highly desirable
